I don’t know the answer to that question. It just gets selected from a random bunch of pics, I guess.
Thanks Bert. My mistake....... . I thought David already knew it was taken at the nationals. So I thought the question was, how did my bus get selected as one of the 30 odd pics of attendees to be put into the article - to which I still don’t know the answer. Only a few of those selected pics were trophy winners.
Well not by me directly https://www.weeklytimesnow.com.au/c...n/news-story/0a6bfa26aa4c4a8e4e77b56ff79ffc76
According to the reserve bank inflation calculator, $7999 in 1976 is equivalent to about $50000 today. Cheap at half the price (whatever that means)
“Looks and drives as new”. Beware the shiny Kombi! If that standard bus gets $33,750 then Harry the Campmobile Adventurer Deluxe 2L Automatic must be worth at leased $40k
I saw that add the other day so looked up the web site https://www.buysearchsell.com.au/all-locations/motoring/?keywords=Kombi The were 2 adds for the same car - on in Sydney and one in Adelaide. Looks like SA rego plates Now no adds. Either sold or dodgy
Spotted @Jethro (Geoff D) on Mona Vale road heading home. I was in the Subaru heading down the hill towards the coast.....we’d just been to Canberra and were returning home. Geoff had that sun-tinged, Keyo face that only devotees know I did wave but you probably didn’t notice. No pic. but was at about 5:20 pm...... Cheers, Mark
A week too early...... https://forums.kombiclub.com/threads/2019-act-german-auto-day-22-september.58660/
Unfortunately, other commitments that weekend Grant..... On a more positive note.....I’m waitlisted on a Tharwa Forge 3 day course in November Cheers, Mark
