Went to Aldi on the weekend, They had Die cast Splitys and Beetles for $14.

Got a split, good quality, comes in pieces to be superglued together. Unfortunately, I have builders fingers and not model maker fingers. Glued myself to the model 3 times. Managed to get super glue on almost every window, then when I got home from dinner realised that I had glued the darn thing to the kitchen bench.

Looks real nice now the glue is dry though.

Every time I go into a shop that sells matchbox cars I always flick though to see if I can find one of these. I always see the type 181 and millions of VW caddy's the odd baja here and there.

So may times I have been tempted to just fork out for one on ebay but today I finally found one in coles, a red one. So happy.

I was just in Newcastle for a work Conference this week and popped into Frontline hobbies on my way home with my bos and while we were there thought Id have a look for some Kombis. After not finding much had a quick chat to sales assistant who pointed me in the direction of a pile of assorted vehicles on the floor under a shelf and he suggested looking through that pile. So me my boss and his wife got to work and this is what we found.

The Low lights are from Oxford diecast. They are in OO scale just right for putting on the train set ;)

The only late Bays I have seen are Minichamps and are worth over $50 each. Have a dual cab that I found at Mojo at Mogo, or is it Mogo at Mojo?

    Corgi

Old split Kombi by Corgi, with lumps on the roof! Rescued recently from a local Bric-a-brac.
