Late bay airconditioning install

    So after a year of having it was it worth the expense and the trouble installing it?

    Or in other words - would you do it again?

    I gather the unit uses a variable compression pump to allow you to wind back/up the thermostat setting?

    Yes, for me it was worth the effort. Makes more sense in qld than cooler states. Even used it Anzac Day.

    The thermostat is simply awitch that engages/disengages compressor clutch and also condenser fans.

    Cool! (no pun intended!!) Interesting in actually seeing the parts of the Gillmore kit. Surprised the Aussie AC pundits asking $5K....Burglars...

    I would like air conditioning and it frustrating that gilmore-enterprises don't just sell the bracket and pulley as the cost of the complete kit is huge for Australians :/
