Having Europe on your doorstep does have some perks.
I had the pleasure of visiting Le Bug show at Spa race circuit in Belgium last year.
We drove the 800 mile trip in a 12 bus convoy with the guys and girls from Hayburner. Things were bound to get wild.
Just found a great video of the show on the net. Some amazing rides and you can even see my green pickup at 6.15 next to my mates oval.

How often do you get to drive your Kombi around a Formula 1 track while drinking beer? :D
    Hope you enjoy it.

Wow - that was great Chris - but you are an Aussie and its a ute - not a pickup!!! :p:D

I would love to go to a show like that but it would kill me not to have MY kombi there with me. :)

Spa is one of my favourite F1 circuits....... wish they'd do this closer to race day, so I could combine the two events. ;)

Quite the opposite Bert. It was like the UN on camp. People from all countries floading in for days and we were happy to give up every inch of spare ground we had to accomodate them. The more the merrier.

This was the only territorial marking going on. ;) Unfortunately for my mate. His oval became our urinal for a few days. Disgusting I know.

Chris, best qualify the territory marking as being the air cooled VW engines marking their territory aka a drop of oil here and there on the ground where they were parked

Love that beer case as brings back memories to 1979 and European tour - a place called Lauterbrunnen in Switzerland and the local shop chilled the beer in the stream outside the front door - 2 case capacity & on constant rotation .... this was during summer also :D with snow up on the Schilthorn

Nah Chris all good, thought some may be unaware of the old saying that old VW's do not leak oil they just mark their territory ..... should have qualified it to avoid confusion
