I am trying to get the history of my new bus and cant find an M-Plate as discussed on most UK,US or SA sites....

Then I remembered that I have had this trouble each of my 5 buses and wondered if we actually had them fitted for the Aus market? I can find the ID Plate behind drivers seat but where is the other one? I know they were in different positons for different years but WTF????

    Can anyone enlighten me?

There are no M-plates on Australian-assembled kombis, however they can be found on imports ie 77 onwards (usually on the heater pipe under the left of the dash) ...

    Btw...

    While I think of it,

Having just bought a 69' double door, I have a few questions.....

Would his model have been built in Germany?
Is there somewhere I could find how many twin sliders were made?

And a general question, how would I find out previous owners etc?
Is that allowed or do you need to have a friend in motor reg?

    in advance.....
