I got mine from aircooled.com
Check with Kai.
I got a kit from JK. Included a set of copper coated small nuts that have a good thread that can be done up tight without stripping.
Good gaskets as well.
Surving ok so far. Not the common dimpled options that blow out the guts.
Visited my local purveyor of nuts and was provided with a bag of 20 in brass. $15.
"and sealed" with what? Have a vague memory of reading NO sealer?
Took a bit of notice of advice in this thread.
Found the heat shield taken off 25 years ago after the bracket broke. Bit of weld to fix and a splash of high heat rattle can.
Also the fan housing flaps back in. No bellows at the moment (both I had were NBG) but spring loaded in the run position.
Using stainless screws/bolts for the tinware. Bling with a function!
Since fitted dizzy but waiting on new adjusters for the valves.
Thanks for the inspiration.
Schmett is looking on patiently!
Elring "Curil T".. soft sealer..
I have a bucket load... in stock.. 12mm crimped and copper plated exhaust nuts..0r 13mm all with 8x1mm threads..
The original exhaust nuts were steel with a stainless steel thread insert.. this is where workshops messed it up...with common steel nuts..no insert..
Yeh.. got them..
Assembled with no sealer so will see how it goes? Major back step to revisit unless I can add now? Few days until I will be ready to put back in the van. Purchased brass nuts for the exhaust. Again will see how they go. Thanks Andrew.
EDIT! Not such a big deal to pull the tubes and ad sealant. Is Elring available or is there an alternative? Only stuff I have is Locktite Aviation gasket goo.
