    Important bit....
A reminder that it it necessary to book for this event as they allocate spaces accordingly.

Free entry for kombis booked plus driver and passengers but they ensure there is plenty of room between kombis for people to look without damaging plus room for chairs and covers to make it a good relaxing social day for owners and passengers.
    This works well.

Free show for all of us that we don't have to organise so get along and support it.
As it is a fundraiser for inland farming community support I think most owners opt to give a donation anyway but this is optional.

Likely the food stalls and eating areas are further into treed area this year to ensure shade if sunny.
( think eating areas were covered anyway)
Plus this makes more room for another row of kombis .
Has been a good range of food options and chat with organisers last year indicated they are continually looking to improve all areas of the show to make it work for everyone.

    Cruise.
As some people are camping overnight or at local campgrounds, a local cruise has been organised for Saturday for anyone interested.
Open to all kombis and I assume all Vw and other marques that fit the general retro beach scene.
( my assumption but show is for all such vehicles)
Not just campers or those showing on sunday.

I will try and paste details.
If anyone has links post them up

    Not sure on either Chris.
Send an enquiry to Denys via the show site.
Think muts might be ok but that's a guess

I sent a msg, just waiting for a reply. This will be the first surf show and shine I've gone to. Good that it's changed from the mardigrass weekend.

    Hi Jerome
Some are camping at the school grounds the Sat night.
Don't know who or how many .
Hopefully anyone on Kc will put hands up.
Showers n toilets by the camp area.
    Shops and restaurants, cafe's opposite.
The commercial camp ground on beach front tends to be noisy sat night from traffic.
Coolum and Maroochydore have good beach campsites.
Definitely the pick is cotton tree at Maroochydore.
    Right on the maroochy rivermouth.

It's a good event especially for the surfing Kombi owners. Will miss this one but make up for it by going to the nationals. Maybe get to next years

I'm there. Got pulled up by Denys (organiser) twice in the street on seperate occasions to be invited. He's pretty pro-active; whenever he sees a kombi he rushes over and hands you a business card for the event.

It's only 1357 km from my current homeless place. Reckon I might make it.

    Its this month Brian.
Your 1357 km often stretches further than Chinese noodle dough. :)
