    Hello all,

I’ve been very busy lately but find myself lucky enough to have a weekend trip in Moreton Island (Finally! Woo-hoo! LOL :D)

My family and I (with some friends) arrived midday.

later afternoon, I enjoyed walks in sand dunes... (obviously playing in the sand - LOL)

Me and the boss did Moreton Island in my syncro.

We had a great time and stayed at the wrecks where some of your photos are.

We went round the whole island and through all the tracks.

Got a puncture and a slow leak so we had to cut the trip short by a day (no spare).

Unfortunately my photos were all pre-digital cameras.

Thanks Sunnyjim and Synchro27 for taking the time to see my adventures.

I like the place and had a good time with wifey and some of our friends.

that's why it's important to always bring spare, you will never know when you gonna need one.

I actually did have a spare but the standard 14 steel wheel and tyre which are much smaller than my current 15 in 235 x 75 x 15 wheels.

On a syncro you cant run miss-matched tyres or you will kill your gearbox - hence my spare was useless. Since then I purchased and fitted a wheel carrier and I have no issues with the spare now.

All good. Still trying to find my photos so i can scan them.

    @phatratpat, I didn't Mate :eek: :lol:

@Syncro27, Using a mismatch tires would really be a bad idea.
Sad though it spoiled the fun.

Yep, looking forward to see it.

I thought this was on Stradbroke Island?

Pat exactly where on Moreton Island is it (Northern end/Southern end most likely the western side where all the habitats seem to be).

Moreton Island is 40 km from the offshore of Brisbane...
the island can be reached by ferry, barge or boat.
anyways, ferries for vehicles and passengers run daily...

Hmmmm, Going for a mission hey Scott. You will need a few funky green panels to fix that.
Worth getting the front seats maybe?

You wont get it under 5k.

Even the boguns 'know' that these things are 'worth money' and will let it rust to nothing rather than get ripped off selling it cheap:)
