I chose a red similar to the original PMG red on the inside. It’s not a perfect job but I’m happy. I’m thinking about getting some PMG stickers made for the doors.

    Nice bus Okymura.
Would be cool to have the stickers.
    And another South Aussie too!
We need to get all the South Aussie Kombi Clubbers together for a get together!

A Mircobus! I though the PMG only bought Kombi vans for their repair crews (always with the 1600 engine after 71 too). Always red with a brown interior I believe. The 1970 model would have had a single port 1600 B series engine originally - still got that?

No it’s all Kombi, headlined in the cab only, I added the seats and seat belts for my kids. I changed the interior panels as the old cream/brown ones were in poor nick. The front seats are driver and bench seat so no walk through. It’s a 1600 but the original engine is long gone.

I'll try again.... I thought the PMG only ever got Kombi VANS.... (no side windows).

I cannot prove 100% but its a definitely a Kombi as the Kombis do have windows as designated by its model number 23... not a panel van with the 21....model number.
Yes most were the panel vans and possibly PMG had the Kombi as well I don't know. Its original paint work is not the standard VW red. Here is another PMG Kombi from NSW.
