Well, the cat can finally be let out of the bag. My birthday present will be leaving Queanbeyan this week and arriving at my place very shortly thereafter. Can't wait - I'M SO EXCITED!!!

Some of you are aware that I have bought the lovely Bonita from Royce and Andrew. Here's a link to the thread that Royce started for her: http://forums.kombiclub.com/showthread.php?t=25394&highlight=bonita

My 40th was in May this year and, when Royce and Andrew bought Pandora earlier in the year, they offered Bonita to me. Now knowing that she was a great Kombi, even with a pushed in nose, with a bit of Botox, she would be beautiful.

Royce has been running around like a blue arsed fly getting bits and pieces done to Bonita, so she has NO rust, NO bog and a new nose. I'll post some photos of her when she arrives. She's not registered yet, but I'm hoping that will be no problem at all.

Plans are to replace her canvas and reupholster her seats. She's beautiful already, but she's gonna be my version of Miss Universe.

Can you tell I'm just the slightest bit excited?!?

    Congratulations Kyra.

I had a look at the thread but unfortunately the photos are no longer there so I look forward to seeing some when she arrives.

Very keen to see these too. I cant remeber what this 72 looked like although I think it was the one that had a head on accident with minimal rust?

    Photos please.

Thanks folks - did I say before that I was STOKED?

Not sure why the photos didn't come up, but Royce gave me a few, so I'll put them up as a teaser - I'll start a proper resto thread once she gets here.

And I was remiss earlier not to thank Royce from the bottom of my heart for her - he really did go beyond the call of duty, and I love him dearly.

Anyways, here's some happy snappys. How she used to be before Royce got her & after her little accident.

Oh, and yes Scott - this is the one you were thinking of.

During and after her "nose job"

The interior is all that I have to do and I've got it all pictured in my head - just need to get my hands on her and away we go. My kids are so stoked that she's got a chequered floor, and a table and fridge! I'm thinking the fridge will come in handy, just quietly.

    I KNOW!!!

You should see the collection of Kombi bits and pieces that I've been collecting for the past few months - sliding windows, bull bars, bumper bars, seat belts, stereo. Even though I've been kombi-less, I've kept my finger on the pulse. Kinda!!
