Nahhhh. Wayne was there a long time before me. I'm just following in his footsteps and am but a mere reflection of his attention to detail and focus.

P.S. But I do have a cunning plan.
I've just planted some Rubber Trees in my backyard and I have started digging for clay. I'm going to make my own clay moulds, grow the trees, harvest the rubber and then cast some custom wiper blades. They will be correct original replicas to a tolerance of 2 microns.
    This will stuff him.

Seriously though ... It's looking good Wayne.
What's the plan for the interior? What colour scheme can we expect on the inside?

MMmmo_O:confused: I've been called a few things before but OSF. Should I take that as a compliment:rolleyes:. Bad influence I think. Should start production on plastic soon by the sounds of it. What do you thing OSF?
Interior is Tan colour. Basket weave vinyl. With coconut fibre underneath.

I know you can fabricate what ever you need from OSF rubber trees, but I mean the whole thing, is it just a case of assembling once painted?

Pretty much, just that. Most parts I've got or they where already finished before I had started.
Bumper bars will be given to the painter when the car is finished. Changing colour on them to a cleaner /brighter white. Fuel tank will need a coat of paint as well.
The engine is still in pieces at the moment haven't even started looking at that yet.

Not a lot of progress has been made in the last few weeks. Painter sanded the roof ready for final coat but he wasn't happy with the sides of the roof .Painter mentioned it had marks in the side of the roof that he didn't like so he re- high filled the sides of the roof. The marks were in line with the strengthening beam on the inside of the roof. Plan for the end of week is to have colour on roof. I'm glad I didn't pick blue as a colour I would be turning blue, holding my breathe on that.

I was very worried during the week when I discovered this in the bottom of one of my gates:eek:. Paint de-laminating:eek:. It will be fixed no problems at all and I rechecked the others with no issues.I reckon the tape is defective or left on to long. o_O painter has agreed with me and has question the tape supplier on this! I've been assured and when I checked the rest with no issues I do feel relieved that it is an isolated issue.

I had a similar thing in one spot on my door. It was fixed, but still kinda freaks me out.

Especially when you still have the rest of the car to be painted and all the little fiddly bits painted

This week painter has painted inside the vent grill area and headlight buckets and the roof has also been done. They are know getting the ute tray ready to be painted. The photos don't do the colour any justice,as there is to much light or shadows from the light. Still or the same it is progress moving forward.

Nice.................but......................as a non painter, why would you just paint the head light buckets?
    Why not do the front?

Good question @Barry ,that I'm not really sure. I'm only guessing is to make it easier for himself when he does the whole car,and doesn't have to worry about going around the extra part like the head light buckets etc. Which aren't seen any way. I say that was what @OSF is talking about as well.
