my 74 dc resto

    vannman nah not as yet.. just sorting out the seat belts.. got some wiring issues, and need a brake booster, then she is just about ready for rego,.... oh and i still got to fix those's stinking gates.......

    why oh why do i own a dud . this thing is great max . love the black interior looks rock and roll . the gates are a shitter to repair and if they are far to gone then you can get some from gersons you need deep pockets however .

    Red ... yes the new gates are $3600 + ... so i think i will just put the hard yards in and repair them... but not looking forward to it.. if they come up good, i wil get some fibreglass moulds made of them and make some more sets. Most likley make a alloy frame and attach the fibreglass frames onto that.

    Hey hurricane i got them from Classic veedub in sydney there cheaper then the originals $60 each

    Well finaly got DC together and rego'd, it's been a long time comming but finaly there. Took her for her first drive, wow heaps of power but no speed.. lol the ratio's are so wrong...i need to rob a bank so i can afford get a box with better gearing.
    I'm having a few troubles with the tighness of the excelerator cable..think i might have to run a new tube and make it exact for the V6 so there are no tight spots, but i expected some teething probs..

    hastings head land on her first run... will have to lower her i think
