I’ve been looking for a T3 Doka for ages but I finally got impatient and purchased this instead.

Looking forward to getting it home.

    Nice one Brendon!
Great choice of type and colour, I must say......
Interesting glass set up.....never seen flippers on a rear window before.....!
Will it be making an appearance at Mallacoota?
    Cheers,
    Mark

    Hey Mark,

Thanks. I was planning on bringing the T3 but may change my mind.

Definitely a weird glass set up. In time I’ll be changing it to front sliders as the kids will want air :)

    Hey Phil,

That’d be just my luck and I’m almost sure that it will happen :)

Very nice prone with the new kombi, You have done well finding a clean example by the photo. They did normally have three flipper windows one on either side in middle front and one on the right rear like that one,up to a 78. How's the rest of it look like, interior and motor :rolleyes:etc? The front seats hard to tell but look like they have been swapped out for something else:(. Enjoy it with the kombi smile:D

Thanks Wayne. Appreciate the info on the windows as I just thought that it was something that had been changed throughout its life.

You’re right. The front seats aren’t original but I may be keeping them :)

    Cheers

    Very nice Brendan.

You know a T3 is the only van that drives straight (according to Bazza :D) so be prepared for lots of steering with this one!

Awesome purchase - the kids will love the pop-top.

    Enjoy...

    G’day Scott,

Thanks mate. The kids are really excited, wish that my wife felt the same way.

I’ve had a 77 before and totally agree that the steering on a T3 is far superior :)

Nice one Prone:D. Great purchase... bit retrograde for a T3 owner but I'm sure you can remember what it's like to have ....wander, no a/c, no water problems etc.
    That's a Mallacoota van.
    Cheers

    Well done Brendon!

In this day and age, of when a vehicle gets to a certain age, and most go and move it on for a newer model, trading up.................

There seems to be a trend on KC, to just “trade down”.

    Enjoy.....;)

Great looking T2, looks like a good score! Just drive slower and they drive nice and straight :)

I’ve been deciding if I should fly up to Queensland and drive it back to Sydney or if I should put it on the back of a truck.

I’m leaning towards driving it back to get a good feel for it however I’ve read good things on here about CEVA if I do decide to get it delivered.

Either way, I’m going to have to be patient as I can’t bring it back for a couple of weeks due to other commitments.

    Cheers

Hey Wayne, brain fart on my part re-the flippers. Just checked mine and they are the same albeit two glass panels have been replaced with louvres ala Sopru .
Brendon....looked strange to me, at first, ‘cause I’m used to seeing white louvres, bad call on my part.
Look forward to seeing it in the flesh. Cheers, Mark

Cheers Mark. I think that it looks a bit weird just having the right rear flipper but not having flippers on the other windows. It may look better if I put the windows back to original and add flippers to the middle windows (thanks Wayne).

Mark, I also like the colour. I’ve heard a few people say that it’s one of the worst Kombi colours but I think that the colour suits a Kombi :)

Here’s a pic of the front seats. Comfortable but don’t really suit. May go back to original seats but won’t be happening for a while.

I’ll probably be changing the door cards too.
