I actually went in, pretending to look for someone, so I could have another look, after 7 years. The only change was all those bulky monitor / Tv's had gone, replaced with half as many cheap flatscreens, some fluoro tubes had been replaced.....and they still haven't seem to locate where the vacuum cleaner is kept!
I stuck my head in and had a look and I reckon I could have got a can of DA or KB if i asked, NOS of course
We were sorry not to make it up for the event. Well done Wayne for the T2 award, I can't imagine that would be anything less than very well deserved. And to whoever it was that took out the T3 award... I couldn't quite tell from the thread. I would have been happily inspecting all the T3's if I had been there, especially your ute Grant!
That's just a quick run through of things I pointed the camera at. After a while, all the vehicles and people you meet become a blur. So I was snapping photos to go through them after we got home and unpacked and back to reality. It's a great thing to see people's individuality come through their rides and how people interpret their preferences on how their bus or bug or ute should be. I always enjoy talking to people about their bus and then asking them about some random trinket or sticker they have included. It usually takes the story on a much more personal tangent and gives a bit of an insight to their experiences or relationship with the vehicle. Everyone is a story teller, especially when the story is about themselves.
From my recent conversation with Grant -both of us won - mine got Best T3 - somehow??? and Grants best Watercooled Commercial Vehicle - well deserved. We both didnt get our trophies - oh well....
Sorry Wayne - I was not at the presentation so I have no clue who won what.....just assumed you won. Anyway - 2nd is very good too
X 2 for the photos Longrasser. I was there all day from 6:50 am I didn't even take one photo. To much yakking and looking for parts then taking photos
