I thought I better clear that up before anybody got the wrong end of the stick with it .
As I understood the announcements, a 2nd prize was awarded if there were more than 8 entrants in a category, so with the sea of T2 bays on offer, 2nd prize to Wayne is an excellent achievement.
As to my workhorse, I'm sure I just ticked the "T3 watercooled" box on the entry form, so not really sure which category it got changed to........
hopeless photographer I am but here are some pics for you to suffer anyway
Wayne's was the best (imhp). His dads beetle behind
That bug and bike in the trailer was pretty cool!
Probably more power in the bike, than the bug....
He's a Bowral resident. The trailer's only been on the road since Friday.
Two categories for you grantus. 11# T3 81-92 all years

Oops.... first timer to the Nationals, and half asleep from the pre - dawn start, I failed to see the #11 category, and put #34 on the entry form....
They have #11 Category on the air cooled side of you entry form. As you know it ,they had both air and water cooled models
Thanks for the explanation Wayne. I didn't even look at the air-cooled side to see category #11, having a radiator in my vehicle......
So it looks like I was the only one who didn't know, that to enter a water cooled T3, you had to find the category in the air cooled list?
Seems a bit confusing for first timers..........
Thanks for sharing the pics and congratulations to those members who received a trophy
It was my first time going to the Nationals and was shocked at the size of it....will definately be going each year from now on!! Think I did about 5 laps just to take it all in. Gave the old girl a cut and polish to try and fit in.
Ha ha I saw more people taking pics of my number plate than the actual van
The plate compliments the car. Pretty hectic day, I was parked directly behind you in the yellow 79 Bay.
I think there was 3 that looked very similar to yours. I'm still not sure who's who....next time il ask around and introduce myself!
Borgey, I came back to that hi-lite a couple of times for another look. Don't worry, it was looking fairly sharp amongst the range of yellow to orange toned busses there on the day.
I met a few first timers that hadn't been briefed properly on what to expect and were surprised at the size and range of stuff on show. Can't catch everyone is the rule, but stick with a bus long enough and your sure to cross paths with a good few.
This was the second best Deluxe Microbus in Mellow Yellow colour at the show
I totally agree...I did spot yours n it looked great. Love the stickers on the Windows. Could I get a front on photo of yours please. Want to see what they look like with the roo bar. About to take back seat out n build a bed so i can get away in it and need somewhere to put the spare. This one got me keen. Cheers
Looks like an awesome day pitty I had some prior arrangements in Canberra.
