    Hi all
Well joining here as I'm about to buy a 73 bay window camper. Had it for the weekend and love it.
Current collection of VW's are 4 914 Porsches and 2011 Amarok

History is Volvo's dating back to 140's and landrovers. Still got a 850R wagon and a 1986 Land Rover 110.

    Why a Kombi??
Wanted a camper. Something to jump in ever few weekends and just head away and do nothing. Can do that with my Landrover and a Swag, but the Kombi idea excites me more.

So I'll be asking 900 questions and the build progress will be shown.
Best part is my Partner is keen as to get her hands dirty on the fit out.

    Steve

    Aka Clarkie

Sounds like you have a suitably uncontrolled tendency to acquire and hence well equipped to enter the kombi scene
at least you can rip an engine out of one of the 914's to power the kombi:)

    welcome

    Welcome aboard,
Quite a collection, we will forgive the 914s as they are the fastest mobile spares delivery vehicles for Kombis :)
Post some pics of the collection if you can.

900 Questions. Welcome Clarkie to the right place for your 900 questions which will be answered helpfully, humerously and with great passion. Like your stable...the fodder bill must be astronomical. This is a great collective from ( from a world weary cynic ) and I have no doubt you will enjoy the association. Look up Melbourne chapter ( AlPal is iconic ) and go to gatherings with your steed. Face to face with assembled Kombis is priceless for ideas , contacts, advice and bonhemie from a collective just as deranged as yourself! Look forward to further intelligence re the resurrection. Welcome aboard. But could you please refrain from using such profanity.
I really hate hearing the "V" (Volvo) word.

Aiming to get to Geelong in the Kombi. The Amarok is common now. When I got it, it was rare !!!!
