You're right Tom. If somebody needs a part or a hand we can't help if we don't know where they are.
We don't want your address, just your area folks. My bus would not be running without local assistance! Also, I wouldn't have met some top folks!! :D
Do it!! You know you want to!!

Cheers looking froward to getting another kombi, not had one for a few years !
Arrived in Wa from the uk 6 months ago and the 4X4 i bought just not the same as a Vee dub , so once its sold !
Had to had lots of bugs and kombi's over the years , last one was a crewcab splity , irs lowered all round and very solid , but it had to go a few years back just as it was nearly ready for the road  !

Fancy a panel van or a samba this time so I can get some camping done too :p Don't mind one that needs some work but will have a good look around .

Does it have to be a splitty mate?

You can get (and maintain) a bay for a hell of a lot less.
At least you'll be Kombying while you find your heart's desire!
    Just a thought!
I'd love a samba, but I don't have the wherewithall to buy, restore or sustain one. So I drive my bay! On runs, with da Boyz, to school and work, with mates and generally enjoy my VW bus daily driver!
it makes the waiting so much easier!!!

    Just a thought mate ......

If i can't find a split that i like then will go for a very early bay.
Will update the split though , as i did with my crewy so will be on bay running gear .
Used the creative enginering irs kit out back nice kit to fit ! 8) Like the look of their newer weedeater front beams too .

hmmmmmmmmmmm. I'm not sure about you "low rider, cutting the lawn, minimal clearance" types!!
I like to adjust my clutch without a jack!!
If my bus is going anywhere (other than forwards!!) it's UP!

When are "Creatives" going to come up with a "Bus Raising Kit" ? That's what I'd like to know!!
(not that I'd buy one, 'cos I'm perfectly happy with the way she is now!!)

 Welcome to "Argument Central" Sambadude!

Sure be a boring world if we all liked the same mate , Air shocks or air bags would raise it back up , but starts getting very $$$

Welcome to WA and the forum.
Quokka is the best place to look for Kombis and word of mouth of course.
If I hear of anything I will let you know.
Seeing you like camping it is best to keep the Kombi at normal height so you can go where the 4WDs go :D

    G'day everyone,

New to the forum living just outside of Brissie.. Scratched myself enough $$$ for a Kombi transporter.. Plan is to have a spare seat (for taking a few friends) and bed in the back and spend my weekends up and down the QLD/nth NSW coasts in the old girl...

Looking for something already restored with no or very few faults, as I'm a complete newbie to these fantastic iconic machines.. If you know anyone selling that may fit the bill, please let me know...

    Let the journey begin.....
