Cost at an AUVIS (Authorised Unregistered Vehicle Inspection Station . . . don't ya just love acronyms) was $63.00. With 42 days to have issues rectified. But only 21 days to transfer an interstate registration. It came with a Qld. Blue slip which meant nothing. In this case the only two items were a small oil leak at the front of the engine (not seen it yet) and an issue with rear seat/seat belts loose . . which was a surprise when the vehicle has a compliance plate that says a two seater . . . I'll unbolt the belts and drop down and make the bed so it becomes no rear seat. Interestingly they said if there is a rear seat(s) there must be belts irrespective of compliance plate but one doesn't argue in these circumstances hey!
