hello and good to be here, last week I purchased a 1973 dual cab ute that needs some TLC, who doesn't? the previous owner suggested it was an original PMG work ute, any clues how I could verify this? VIN number maybe? It definitely has red/orange paint under the current white/grey/black mess.

    G'day and Welcome Jeco

I'm no expert on the PMG stuff but may be a pic will tell a story as to the ladders and other frames on it?

Welcome Jeco to the KC, What condition is the DC in rough, fair or Good? Runner or a pusher? . If it has red underneath try taking the top layers of paint off on the front doors, with oven cleaner I have heard and see if PMG is still on the doors. Does it also have black bumper bars? Chassis number won't tell you anything about whether it would be a PMG Kombi or not.
Nearly finished doing up a 72 DC Ute, alot of work, time and money. Hope it's a driver so you can enjoy it wherever it takes you.

thanks, a fair runner, the previous owner drove it to my place, 20km at 80km/hr, surprised both of us I think, runs a little rough but runs. I shall try the doors and yes it has black bumpers

Bus Stop provides this forum. JK are another supplier. Check the web page for price and availability. Make sure you factor in postage.

Also Mick Motors. Make sure when ordering CV joints that you are getting Lobro CV joints brand as they have a longer life expectancy then other brands.
