New shocks

    Would like to replace my shocks all round.

    What is better, gas or oil?

    Im in need of new shocks and the reason i still havnt done it is it depending on who u talk to there are so many opinions that the more i suss it out the more confused i get. Mine is low so i think thats the main reason i cant get a straight answer.

    I have a rides thread sorry i don't know how to link it. I havnt updated it in a while but i might get some pics up tonight. My motor died a few days back so a bit bummed.

    I prefer Gas on a normal height ride. Smoooth. Unsure about dumped rides as Ive never driven one...

    i have replaced the shocks in my standard height 74 bay with gas shocks off JK and the difference is massive. When i took the old ones out i could compress them with ease, I struggled to compress the new ones, the ride is firm but no longer as bouncy/floaty

    I have mine lowered and put in KYB gas adjust shocks and find the ride to be really good.even Kimm from Indian Automotive was surprised at the ride quality after he lowered it.

    I run Boge oil and found them to be super.

    I also like the Boge that I have on my SC.
    They are quality.

    Hey Ev,got the shocks from George at Classic Vee Dub.part no. 97-1014 for the rear and part no 97-1011 for the front.cheers Adam
    Can't wait to see mini me kombi.:D
