A big Hello everyone! My name is Mel and I’m a VW fan. I’ve just purchased a 76’ kombi in need of some loving. I live in Mount Eliza, Victoria. I’m originally from the UK but moved here nearly 4 years ago. I’ve owned a 65 splitty and a 67 Karmann Ghia in the past also a 74 bay camper.
I’m a little out of my comfort zone regarding specialist trades who come highly recommended so I’m hoping some of you guys can point me in the right direction so I can get this beauty back to its former glory!
Look forward to meeting you all in the future!

Hi, trying to upload some photos but it says the file is too big?
Firstly it’s been hand painted so I need to get that off! Will try pressure washer first then gradually move onto other alternatives. I even read about oven cleaner in here being pretty successful!
Generally the body is straight, just some holes in the front offside upright next to the windscreen. Would like to deal with that ASAP. She still ticks over even though she’s been sat on a driveway for 9 years!
There is potential in her and I feel she’s in pretty good condition for her age. Will try to upload some photos again!

There is different ways of doing it,You will have something on your computer that will size it for you. Microsoft office picture manager is what I use. Or you can change the quality of the photo when you are taking them.

Part of your problem with posting pics is using an iphone as image size is usually larger than VGA which is the friendly size to post on forums & email - as for other social media sites I've no idea as not into them

Downloading to a computer would make it easier but if you rely on the phone then someone else may have solution

Hi Jethro, thanks for the post. Managed to get a good deal on her so pretty pleased. Definitely think the paint put lots of people of. I’ve already got rid of around a third of it already - after one weekend. I’m looking forward to another 2 days of furious scrubbing lol. She’s pretty straight with mainly the offside pillar needing some attention. Will keep you updated!
