Been a bit of a delay on the cerecote finish to your wiper arms Nils, but as soon as new black cerecote arrives, I’ll get them done and shipped. ;)

Looking at the above pics, I’m guessing windscreen wipers aren’t required urgently...........

Large cash injections are the only real urgency :p

Besides being “fixed” are you doing any upgrades to the box?

That's the plan :). Jane was never 100% on the bus, until such time she didn't have it anymore, funny that.

Upgrades? You know me too well Barry. :p Off the top of my head.
    - South African Aluminium gear carrier.
    - SA Main bearing retainer.
    - SA oiling plates.
    - plastic needle bearings replaced for steel cages where possible.
    - The before mentioned full Guards transaxle gearset.
    - Super duty Guards 3rd/4th synchro hub.
    - Gun-drilled main shaft to pressure oil those poor needle bearings.
    - The whole shebang will end up with a pump, cooler and filter.

I don't plan to ever have to work on this thing again.

I have today found what the actual source of the gearbox noise was. Was indeed the pinion bearing.

So many things to start to consider and while I am waiting for the pinion depth tooling I turned my attention to the gear carrier.

I was not originally going to add extra oiling to 4th gear and the main bearing, but after reading so many threads on the subject it doesn't look as big a job as all that so may have me turned around on the subject.

Today's project however, was to work out the design for the main bearing retainer. (If only there was a way to incorporate both together  )
