    Rod,

You must live in a dodgy part of Manly or have a really bad driving record as I have the same van and mine is $387.17.

Maybe your large price is because its a company vehicle?

Every time I get a renewal I go to this site (NSW Motor Accidents Authority) and get a price comparison. Have saved hundreds of dollars over the years.

Haha, some say north Steyne is second to Queensie. Maybe thats it.
Car is down as private so not sure what is happening.

did the online thing and got a few cheaper options, even NRMA came up cheaper.:wtf:

    Hopefully an NRMA error......

Although I did read my renewal premium one year, and apparently I had been driving for 92 years, and was listed as 108 years old!

I actually fessed up, and went into the office to disclose that this info wasn't actually true.........and my premium went UP $18! :wtf:

Our Landie is a company vehicle and it's around $500 and registered for business use.

If you have had certain types of insurance claims against your vehicle's normal insurance they will increase your greenslip price (although I've never seen anything like that!) but that should be annotated on the renewal.

    Just ring them and ask.

I had a similar problem to you. I think insurance companies just send out ridonculously priced Greenslips in the hope taht you wont notice and just pay it thinking you have no choice. I rang NRMA after I had a quote from AAMI for $390.00 and said what is the deal with the $600.00 premium - they said it was a mistake and gave me the price of $387.17.

    Its definately worth harassing them.

    Grant,

I would have thought a 108 year old would have almost no eye sight left, useless reaction time and be one of those people that hits the accelerator instead of the brake and ends up dropping off a multistorey car park.

Whereas those of our very young years are only concerned about street racing in our kombis?
