Here we go again... Proof that L. Phil was actually at Old Bar (or at least his vehicle) Sorry Max, someone else captured my attention (not that I didn't have cuddles with Max)
Well, after a long drive we are home after experiencing our first old bar. I am glad we came, and although we did not have our bus. I love that these meet ups are about the people and the vehicles are just a conduit for that. Absolutely loved our time. And absolutely love the community that all you people out there have built. Because despite all these events being started by a person or party, they would be nothing without all you forum member's / kombi owners coming out of the woodwork to create the community that goes with it! But massive credit to all the volunteers that run Old Bar. SO GOOD!!!!!! We will be back I reckon.
Glad you made it Brad......sad I missed it this year. We had a great weekend on the south coast, (thought of you at Batemans Bay), celebrating a close friends birthday, and catching up with a bunch of people. But there is always next year....with your Kombi. It is an awesome Kombifest!
Cracking day at Old Bar - so many buses, heaps of splitties, massive crowd. Met some really cool people - awesome event.
Great weekend. A few records broken. Over 270 for the cruise on Saturday & 307 parked up on Sunday (previous best 278). More T3's than I've seen before getting ready for the cruise. Here you are Grantus. Cheers
made it back to Sawtell, eventually. almost 600kms averaging 13.5 l/100 kms. got wet, got sun burned, had some beer, had some wine and saw some fantastic kombis. Minor hiccup on the way home, broke the earth wire on the points, thanks to Das Rescue for stopping! Lorraine and Andy drove past and gave a thumbs up, just as we were packing everything back in after installing another set of points! Got home, reset the points, re did the timing and all good! Steve
