We will still be there for the weekend and I expect lots of other kombi owners will be there too.

By this time of year I would have taken many, many photos. All German Day, Steamfest, Cocker Spaniel Show (how I miss that!), VW Family Day, Tocal Field Days, VW Nationals. Then looking forward to an Obedience Trial and two Gundog trials, Bugs and Buses By The Bay (I assume that's off) then Old Bar. All gone!

But at least there will be FOUR Cocker Spaniel Shows next year!!!

I reckon there will be as many kombis at Old Bar as always.......Lanis is experiencing large volumes of enquiries for sites and will be booked solid for that weekend. If people want to join the fun, they should book sooner rather than later....there will not be overflow camping on the airstrip this year.....
See you all there.....can’t wait !
    Cheers ,
    Mark

I called and confirmed today. Will be nice to not have to work up there and do a bit of exploring!

Maybe we can organise a kombi cruise through Old Bar - out to the freeway - back again as per usual on the Saturday arvo??

Should be quite a few kombis up there anyway. Not sure if anyone can get access to the air strip for a line up though.

I'm still planning on going , should be a good opportunity to mingle with the KC mob without the festival distractions etc . Looking forward to some form of normality.

Andy spoke to Fizal the Caravan Park manager today and he is very pleased to see so many bookings coming in from Kombi owners. Not all are Kombi Club members but he would like everyone to come together and depending obviously on the current COVID restrictions at the time, was hoping to get the township to embrace a Kombi related weekend. He and Mark, one of the regular organisers for the Kombi side of things are hoping to plan a meet and greet in the hall at the entrance of the Park and also the Convoy.
If you know other Kombi owners who are thinking about coming along please let them know. If he gets a good response they will go ahead and start organizing.

Has that swayed your decision Lorraine, about whether to attend or not?

I'm sure every kombi Owner in attendance would be keen on that.

Maybe on the Saturday afternoon? Followed by the convoy....

We are coming, but not staying at Lanis. How do we let them know, (to assist in “getting a good response”), that we are also coming to Old Bar for the 3 day weekend?

Next T3 you part out, maybe do a lower rear body cut just above the lights, to mount on the rear of the boat trailer, to give it that T3 touch? ;)

Right from the start we had decided to still go if boarders were open. Holidays are booked, boarders are now open......whoo hoo
Re: letting them know, Mark has made a good suggestion. More the merrier, bigger the event
