As always, the organisers are trying to beat the world record of 500 or so kombis in one spot, check out the Old Bar Beach Festival website for more details.

Half the fun of going to the Old Bar Kombi Festival is the cruise up there, so why not travel and arrive in style as part of the convoy. Everyone welcome. The event organisers are sorting a cruise around surrounding area and down the main st of Taree for the afternoon as well.

Meet up at Thornleigh McDonald's (Sydney) at 8am, Saturday October 3rd for breakfast. Depart at 8:45 sharp.

Stop at BP at end of F3 for fuel etc

All Types of VW welcome, there's always a good turnout for this one.
DSK, Volksculture, Melburg luft, Kombi club, bays, splits, etc etc

Details open for discussion, organise to get everyone together for the run..

Thanks for the tip but if you look in coming events/ NSW I think you will find there is already a thread about Old Bar.
Quite a few people here do go but unfortunately it is the same weekend as Warrick so heaps go to Warrick.

    Bit of an itinery...

Convoy should be at the end of the F3 at 10.40am (1h, 50mins)
    and a suggested stop at
    Heatherbrae Pies at 10.45am

25min stop at Heatherbrae pies, depart 11.10am sharp, anyone getting fuel at the end of the F3 can catch up for departure time.

The remainder of the trip to Old Bar should be 2 hours or so.
    (1.10pm-1.40pm arrival)

I know a few people are venturing off on the Thursday to avoid the long weekend traffic which judging by the Easter Bus Stop this year - the traffic will be a good thing to avoid.

Those roadworks are a killer and they are still far from finished.

Anyway if anyone is heading up Thursday from the Central Coast let us know.

    Should be loads of fun.

  14. I might head south to Nabiac & join the last part of the cruise.

    And.......

For those of you who haven't had enough driving by the time you get here there is now supposed to be a cruise on the Saturday arvo.

Leaving from Old Bar, heading north on the highway until the northern Taree exit, through Taree & back to Old Bar.

See you all when you get here.

    Cheers
    Brendan
