Find that intersection, muster 3 splits - kombi, panel and singlecab, and an oval window beetle. Then an early sunday morning reproduction! How cool would that be!

Me (John) in 1971, destination Perth. Got as far as Rankin Springs, it shat itself, sold it for $60 to a fellow in Griffith, hitched to Perth. Wish I still had hair!! IMG_0013.jpg

According to the RBA $60 in 1971 is equivalent to $655.23 (very precise). So don't let that previous poster rip anyone off.

Seems very expensive. Am I likely to get that much for it today?

Only joking. Around that time I had two others I couldn't get anything for. No-one wanted them. I sold them to Sims at Silverwater for scrap. I still cry myself to sleep every time I think about it.

Early 70's had 2 mates who had them (Parramatta area) - bought for similar reason - cheap and could be fitted out for alternate purpose(s):p
