    Well done Wayne! :)

She was just on KC in the last 30 minutes, so I thought she may see the tagged post, but logged off before she would have got the alert. :(

Just trying all avenues, at this stage. ;)

I trust whatever you asked her, is all legal, and you’re not going to be up on charges of stalking!

    End of the journey perhaps........

With the help of Wayne Murray, Kombijen & Melissa, I obtained the last postal address of the book to Ben49, and his wife / partner’s name.

Today I went to the address, and knocked on the door. I met his wife Helen, and explained I was a Kombi Club member. She told me Ben passed away 18 months ago. He had leukaemia, but was going well until he succumbed to a fatal bout of pneumonia.

I offered my condolences and spent some time having a chat. I mentioned the reason for my visit, and the book. Unfortunately she didn’t recall the book, and said some stuff was sold with the Kombi a year ago, but took down my contact details, incase she came across it in the house.

    Vale Ben Connelly (Ben49). :(

Because of the 2 year time delay, I did fear something tragic may have happened, so was kinda prepared, but hoping not, before knocking on the door.

Other scenarios going through my mind on the journey there, was a personal relationship breakdown, or even financial difficulties forcing a change of address, to then be meeting new house owners or tennants, and see if they had a forwarding address for Ben.

Helen was very nice, considering what she has been through, and it wouldn’t surprise me if there was a study full of Ben’s stuff, that she understandably hasn’t even looked at. I did feel after our chat, that if she does come across the book, she would indeed contact me.

Cycle of life continues I guess..............:(

A sad pit top along the books path. It will still exist though and possibly turn back up.
I have a photocopy somewhere of all our scribbles up to me. I'm in the process of cleaning up my office so will put it in a post when I turn it up.
Thanks for your detective work Grant, despite the not so enjoyable result.

Regardless of if it is found or has gone with other books sold, it has history and is going to turn up somewhere in the future.

Was always a possibility that ill health was a factor :(

    Vale Ben49.

Someone may find the book and be amused at the why the comments from many different people scribed on the inside cover
