I would be keen to find out from NRMA/RACQ the number of VW's a year they tow compared to "other brands" of cars...

Ahhhh... roadside assist photos, eh? Here are Daisy's efforts on the return leg of the 2008 Bus Stop trip to Eden:

Daisy had to be pushed to shelter under the front verandah of Rainbow Pies after she wouldn't start just as a storm came over:

The next morning she cracked it coming up the Bulli Pass. It turned out to be a seized distributor advance mechanism, giving her no timing advance. Not knowing that at the time, it was much much much easier (and less painful for the convoy) to just get her flatbedded home. Here she is arriving back home in Brissy:

Approximately 12.4 seconds after getting him back from some major work including a new donk.

Fried EI module due to crossed wires. May or may nor have been my fault. I will never tell.

Hey, I have an idea: why don't we take these pics, along with the Kombi Calendar idea and put them both together? Bingo - next year's calendar!

There was only enough pictures to make it to April If we can get about 20 - 30 pics it will make a great calander ;)

    A GREAT calendar?

Personally if I had that hanging in my house it would make me very depressed indeed.
    This is for two reasons,

    1) mine is usually on the back of a tow truck and it just reminds me my kombi is NOT running.

    2) it would pleasure my parents greatly to prove me wrong about how a kombi is not reliable (they would have the pictures to prove it). I can't let them think their advice against getting a kombi was right.

    Miss Leah,

In ten years Ive only needed a tow ONCE.

Have faith in your trusty steed ;)

Now Ive said that I can see my trip this weekend is not going to go smoothly :(

mmmm.. it was the last time I tried to go to Canberra was when I needed that tow.

Ill make sure I take the camera to catch the action ;)

The Banana Sundae was in that position as the accellerator cable broke- a nice easy fix.
I'm not sure too many people would like to buy one of those calendars - but it would act as a good deterrent to people buying their first Kombi so that will keep the prices down ;)

saabman - love the calendar :)

Blue Bus.....I could fill a whole calendar with the amount of time this one has ended up on the back of a NRMA tow truck

No I seriously want one of these calendars. I get postcards and books done at moo.com, but sadly they don't make calendars. I bet someone does. That'd be so cool.

If there is a techno savvy person here they could copy and paste all the pics on to a external drive then go into a photo shop they can make the pics into a calender.
    Rabbit photo do it.
