We all use the red spare extinguisher @Debstar to 'back up' the Blazecut. Just in case!
Sounds like you're about to get a Blaze Cut @73kombi;).
Great insurance & peace of mind!
    Cheers

Does have an Elide Ball already but scored a Blazecut as we were told they don't do the residue damage that the ball does, just hasn't installed as yet but will be done before Bus Stop, won't it Phil? :p

Been a while since this thread has been used..

Had planned on taking Little Red to the mechanics to get the brakes looked at today, she was booked in. The last time I drove her I noticed the brakes would have a "moment" where I went to use them and the pedal would be solid but if I pumped again, they worked and sort of "grabbed". I don't think drum brakes like to just sit and not be used. This morning I went to drive her to the mechanics and the pedal was just hard and not working so instead of risking the drive (didn't even contemplate it) I called my Shannons roadside and got her towed there.

Was lucky to escape the lockdown of Sydney by leaving on Saturday to the Newcastle area, for the euro motorfest. My DC didn't want to return to lockdown in Sydney so it decided other wise. Think my cars have caught covid they all have been playing up in the last 12 months complaining they aren't been driven enough. Not 100% sure what happen but it's stuck in a gear, so the gearbox has failed. In all my time of owning VW of 27 years (had that gearbox all that time as well) it's the first time that I've had to call NRMA roads service. The DC wasn't on my roadside service but since I had never called them in that time, they organised a tow for me to get home and waived the tow fee to get home. Which is a really good point out of all this is the service I received from NRMA. I had a friend that came with me that that I got a lift home with. So it's the first photo's for the Great Hall of Shame being towed home. Hope it will be lonely for a while.

Covid lockdown rules allow for one hour of exercise a day……..maybe should extend that to Kombis. :(

Glad you and vehicle, are both home safe. :)

    Jack the trans
    remove the mount
undo the nose cone (you can't take it off)
You'll see if the hocky stick has com out of its run.
If it hasn't the engine and trans will need to come out
If it has you might be able to get it back in and seal it all up

Can I say, besides points, the next thing I hate are front engine mounts.
The rubbish they sell these days.
I reckon the rocking forward and back is what does the damage.
Another “one of the best things I have done” is putting a Berg style semi-solid gearbox mount.
Everyone says (well a lot of key board warriors) say that the vibration will drive you nuts.

It was fine, and along with another “one of the best things I have done” is a CB Rhino rear coupling.
All that mated with a CSP shifter, I had one of the best gear shifts in town ( or australia I reckon)

This was on my 1303 by the way. Great car.
