Woz's father was a jockey in the Melbourne and Caufield cup...his 1st cousin is a current jockey (who won the Melbourne Cup and Caufield cup double one year) called Steven King.

Don't really know much about racing but taxi drivers seem to be impressed when I tell them!

Just like Amanda...I intend on being famous...or infamous! ;)

Edward John Eyre (explorer) on my mother's side. He was a cousin of some type. Ivor Novello apparently on my father's side (Welsh composer, playwright, actor). He wrote "Keep The Homefires Burning" and some other things and the Novello award is named after him. He, also, was apparently some type of cousin - I am not directly descended as he was gay (not that there's anything wrong with that... :)).

I am much more closely related to an Australian songwriter but I don't spread it around, by mutual agreement, to help them keep their private life private - so I can't tell, so there. :p

There are more of us out there Glen. But for now the showdown is just between us. I'm pretty sure you'll be in the lead for a bit to come after that incredible 1000th post, for now anyway....

I remember being told that we were related to "mr chesty bond" at some point but most of us are too old to remember that. And I am related to someone who was in the original union action photo at the "tree of knowledge" at Barcaldine QLD.
That's the best I can do apart from to say that I am related to my two beautiful children and to me they are famous:D

My uncle is Leo Beenhakker, football coach, currently coach of the Polish national team(they beat England to a spot to the European Championship this year in their qualifying group) and has also been a coach to the Dutch national team as well as club coach to Ajax, Real Madrid, Feijenoord and many other club sides. He also coached Trinidad and Tobago who made it to the last World Cup.

There's a "Beenhakker" in one my club's Over 35's soccer team. He's "been hacking" for a few years now! Funny thing is... his nickname is Chopper!
