Thanks Grant. Will take you up on that offer for coffee and glue... not in the same cup.
Ill let you know after I have welded up the hole in the drivers door and got both painted. :)

I’ll keep them separate - coffee won’t hold your door seals in place. ;)

A few late panel vans had these arm rests - many Telstra syncros had them - seems that was a box that Telstra ticked on every van they ordered. This would have to be the only reason I sort of like Telstra - they bought in so many syncros to the country :D

Often for sale on The Samba. be sure to also get the unique plugs that fit in the door to take the screws. I have 1 arm rest available

I found the pair on my stock shelves, “out back”, I bought for A$95 delivered, including the plugs and screws.

I could part with them for $100 if you really want them John. Let me know, and I’ll set them aside with your name on them.

It’s what all us T3 pilots do, isn’t it?

Besides, it’s Kombi Karma...... actions to pay forward. ;)

I know, someone will keep me going, with a very minor part failure in the future, that saves the day.

Happened in the past......... and will no doubt happen again, as long as we all keep sharing that love. :)

Only offered up these, from my private collection, as John asked, and I thought I may be able to help out.

Ethically now, they are put aside for John, and he has first refusal. It’s not EBay or Gumtree. ;)

They are yours Phil, if John declines to take up the offer to buy.

Before you commit John, you need to be aware that if you buy and fit these, then captains chairs will no longer fit.

You either go captains chairs with armrests on the chairs, or stock chairs, with armrests on the doors.

Aren’t you still hunting down a pair of captains chairs?

Well I got really close to getting captain's chairs from @Luckyphil... But it didn't come to pass.. I think Luckphil is still looking for a set for me?
Anyway.. I think I'll still take the arm rests just in case the Captain's Chairs take a while to become available.

    Up to you.

But when the captains chairs turn up, you’ll then be left with the holes in the door cards, when you remove the armrests.

As allway Grant.. great advice... thanks.
I will still take the arm rests.. the Captain's Chairs could take years.

Of course now I have committed to arm rests.. the Captain's Chairs will become available.. or more the point.. once I have screwed the arm rests into the
door cards, they'll become available
