I have a 75 bay window, which has been a transporter made into a camper. I live in Northern Tassie, does anyone out there know a good VW person around here that could help me restore this little beauty.
    Cheers Jo

what are the issues that need restoring?
    Body - rust and/or paint?
    Interior?
    Motor?

I have used http://melbernauto.com.au in the past when I had issues with my Syncro on a Tassie trip. To me they appeared very good. In fact the VW dealership in Launceston advised me to go there. The other repair shop I have use is John Widdowson Autos at George Town. They were also very good.

Stevie will be your man as I haven't had much to do with Northern Tas. I know in Tas in general there is a lack of body resto places though. Ended up doing it myself, but no major rust cutting required.
