The eagle eyed amongst you will notice that we upgraded to Vbulletin 5, it didn't perform so well so we reverted to the previous release whilst we plan our next steps.

If you hit any problems, please let us know here and we'll do or best to sort them out.

A couple of times I have started a new thread, when I finish and go to post I am told I have to log on,I did log on to start the thread, there is no other way to do it. I then have lost the thread and need to start again.?

I note a week or more of posts and new threads have gone into cyberspace.

Members who have started new threads seeking information or listing things For Sale will have to post these again :(:p

Some smileys also gone to cyberspace

Good move, this format is more user friendly .
the only issues I had with this format are repeats of posts and slow, which I thought was my computer or antiquated telstra tower.

I liked the look of the new format but I was pulling my hair out with frustration. Thank you for returning it to our normal format.

Thank you for all your hard work, before and after. We all certainly appreciate the hard work you and Roy put in for what is a free (to us) service.

    Yeah,
    Thumbs up from me too.
I totally understand that you need to upgrade as you go.
And I also know that the data usage on DSk is much lower but they run there forum using phpBB.
It is very similar to this format now but the speeds achieved are so much better.
    This is the place
    https://www.phpbb.com/

    just a thought.

Love it - this is much better and all seems to work again.

Brilliant move - as they say - you never really know what you have until its gone.

Now its back we know what we take for granted.

Thank (insert your choice of religious diety)!!!!!

my very heartfelt thanks to all of you who have laboured to bring to us, a new improved experience on this forum. My even greater heartfelt appreciation for your collective wisdom in recognising that either the proposed new experience was not all that it could be and/or in the alternative was still not yet quite ready to be unleashed upon us.
I confess to having been lost with the new format, and after a while I simply gave up. That is because I am a weak and shallow individual. The perspicacity of those of you who persisted (and successfully) is to be admired.
    So once again thank you!
N.b. the downside is that I may well start posting again..........#

Thank you for the kind comments - appreciated.

KC has been using VB since day one and when they hailed the new release we saw no reason not to go for it. Little did we know what lay in wait!

    The spammers are back... :umm:

The question part of the new member application seemed to slow them down - can we add something like that again?
