Hi Peeps .... Are are looking for a roof rack to carry our spare wheel, on the roof of our 76 camper... Having trouble with size and position issues. Anyone with any thoughts? Old ones for sale? Cheers

That's a good idea, keeps the clean front look and gets it out of the back for the bed.

One thing to factor is in where you park. My garage is 2300 clearance hight which is pretty good I think.
But once my wheel was on top I was unable to get in and out.
It added about 80mm above the roof rack rails.
Apart from that any roof rack that will fit it will do but make sure you tie it down well. it is a lot of weight in one item if it came off. Likely to do some damage to anything it hit.

I've just put a Sopru rack on my Westfalia to carry a spare wheel. But mine does not have a pop top so position was my choice. I picked it up for $60 off ebay some time ago. Fortunately my garage (or rather shed) has a good 3 metres of access so height isn't a problem. I guess it will depend on what type of pop top you have.
