Much quicker to get to the pub by unicycle..........

Could be a long way home via the same transportation.

2 Hours until I pick up half the guys and most the beer and head to flat rock for 3 nights.
Not sure how good the rock fishing is the the predicted 9foot swell.
Oh well. Beer will be cold and if need be we will fish the river.

I am bound to be paid out by the guys though. They will all be sleeping in swags and tents.
This will be my first bus sleep (in a bed anyway). I have a nice comfly wool blanket for under the fitted sheet and my doona is one of Elliots Racing Car ones. Yeehah!!!!!

    Cannot wait.

So beach fishing was knocked on the head. First night was extremely cold.
And the beach was far to blown out to fish the rocks or the beach.

So we headed to the river mouth and this was the first nights feed.

Wild life was good too. This was my little mate living about 1m behind the rick I was fishing off. We came to an understanding. He would not bite me and I would not wet myself.

Then on Sunday Morning we headed out for a couple of hours to the river mouth again and this is what I took home for the family.

Overall loved the camp site and the location. Will definitely be heading back.

Oh, and the unicycle got some good use. I few very near missed with rocks and light poles but we all came home unscathed.

Plus Elliott's racing car doona made for a crackingly comfy bed in the bus.
It is a bit noisy when you move being vinyl but was comfy.
And I did not really notice the fact that my legs hung over the end.

Yes it's a great spot, would be a great venue for a getaway for any interested members! Loads to do like surfing, fishing, paddle board, shallow places for great kid swimming, tavern, bottle shop and 10 mins from Coffs. Happy to help plan an event if anyone's keen. Jon

So that "10 mins from Coffs".

Is that by car, by foot........or by unicycle?

    Just asking.........

That's 10 min by car to Coffs Harbour and 25min to Sawtell. Rated by the CSIRO as having the best climate in Oz, ok I'm biased caused I lived there for 25 years! ;)

The CSIRO have probably got it right. Having been to Coffs many times over many years to visit family, it's never been too hot, or too cold at anytime of the year...:)

    unrealistic expectations
and a pissy microwave oven in the 'camp kitchen' rather than a real one to freshen my croissants :(

I guess you were lucky your door rubbers don't seal at floor level.
    Allows the water to drain

    That is true.
Maybe you can convince JD to bring a real oven for croissants next year. Each year he can add an appliance until he has enough to set up a food and coffee van.
