It's around that time of year again where we are all doing lots of travelling and camping in our Kombi's. So I propose we all share some pics of our campsites and share some ideas with fellow travellers. I'll kick things off with my recent trip to Tarra Valley in Gippsland. We're still not quite set up as we would like to be but we're getting there. Our campsite Fernholme Tarra Valley The view of the river right next to the campsite
Oh dear, I am a bit ashamed to put up my photos as although the setup is scarily similar it doesn't look anywhere near as tidy...... Really nice pics though Adrian
man that looks like a sweet place, and i love the colour of your bus, as you know already haha, enjoy your travels mate!
Looks amazing. We're about to head off too but haven't handled the annex situation yet! Can I ask - do you have internet on the road? I've been so confused about the different offers but would love to share photos as we go.
No way am I posting photos of my camping trips. You guys are far too neat, mine looks like a gypsy campsite within minutes of arrival . Aspro is that a Visla you have in your shots?
Hey Aspro, how was the trip? Photos look great and you look very well set up. We're off to the Prom in a few weeks, can't wait. Hopefully we'll be set up by then and I'll pop up a pic or two. I love Treachery Beach Greenbay, cant wait to get back there in the kombi....one day.
Yes Don that is a very hyperactive Vizsla. His name is Ziggy. Hi Gus. The trip was great. Love the prom but heard it is heaving at the moment. We had the pleasure of sharing our entire cam ground with only 4 other groups.
Just so you all know, it hasn't always been this cozy and neat. Spent the night in a carpark in Lorne because no campsites would accept pets. Had a ball regardless thanks to good company and good beer.
A TIP FOR YOUNG CAMPERS...BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN TRYING TO START A FIRE WITH PETROL. Mr Ward may be able to give you some tips on what not to do:lol:
Finally got away for a few days. Here is a pic of us at Derwent Bridge taken a couple of minutes ago. Through the trees is Lake King William (you can't see it) Free camping as we couldn't get into Lake StClair up the road:umm: which was $20 to 25 bucks. Cheers Adrian
Might have to inform the small people about that. For the second time one of the small people (and not the same one) decided that right next to the drivers door is the best place to conduct oneself in a relieving manner, if you get my drift. For some reason the driver was not totally impressed with the situation and the near miss followed by the removal of said offensive object. The rest of us made use of the facilities at Lake St Clair a few short minutes after. Go the mister whippy. Adrian
