Is this Green Lake near Sea Lake Vic?
there is a green lake camp ground near Sea Lake near Swan Hill
Bum end of the world
Anyway - just had a weekend at Coorongooba campground in the Wollemi National Park
North of Lithgow and turn right at Capertree.
It’s near Glen Davis but there is nothing at Glen Davis
Anyway - this is one superb camp ground.
Hardly any other people there and the scenery spectacular.
The road is a shocker, but was worth it
Had a cracking thunder and lightning storm that night as well
could have done with a few less guests though
At least you won't starve
There were about 3 or 4 goannas
Only one red belly though
But it just wouldn’t go away.
Kept chasing the goannas about the place.
On the edge of a large plateau so moisture runs downhill & thus the wildlife. It's quite the escarpment that part of NSW. Glen Davis & Glen Alice! Nice way to avoid the election Barry! " I love this tree. Can you make that snake go away?"
Now we know who the predator is.
The Island at Lanis Foster off season (few weeks ago)
Some mozzies but very peaceful
Nice to see you out enjoying Blitz.
& didn't invite us. I'd bring a red or 2.
you were up at Bretti at the time. Thought about going up there but it was pretty hot inland. Stayed at Gloucester for a night then came home.
Might have to check that place out
What a difference a weekend makes
last weekend was warm (humid) a cracking thunderstorm, but generally, quite ok
This weekend we went to Wattle Flat - a bit west of where we were last weekend by about 70 odd kms
Some OK camp site there - not as "pretty" as Coorongooba NP, but at least you can take a dog and you are close to Sofala and Hill End
Sadly Karsha passed away a couple of months ago, but my son went to Melbourne this weekend.
We thought it would be a good adventure to take Baldrick the Pug bush camping
First off - it was COLD.
About 4 degrees + wind chill cold
Wattle Flat is about 950m
The camping is good in that there are toilets and you can have fires
There was only 1 other camper - and he was in a caravan and hid there
Baldrick did get to meet a friendly sheep that came wandering by checking things out
He had never seen a sheep before...................
We were camped on a Kangaroo Highway
Reckon some 50 kangaroos went hopping down to the lagoon at dust - but Baldy was too busy trying to get warm
Not too sure if he will be invited again
Karsha just sat by the fire and let you do your stuff.
Baldy needed full on attention all weekend.
Baldy obviously lacked a formal introduction to the sheep.
Would have cured the 4C issue
Hey David @David H stole your camp site at Bretti
Couple pics from yesterday and today
Porta gutta, Pimba, and tonight at Glendambo
Missed your post but we camp up on the higher part just above there. This is why.
For those paying attention that is the same fireplace in all my Bretti posts.
Will keep an eye on the weather next time we're there
Pick a date @David H in spring (bit warmer), let's have a kombi kamp out!
We're keen. I'll get back & organise with you.

Is that Wattie with you.
Enjoy your trip.
