Funny - when we got there the odometer hadn’t moved. must have broken.

Also couldn’t believe the mileage we got. it was though we hadn’t used any fuel at all!!

so we set up camp, got the fire going and made a great olive and cheese beer damper

After being locked up for the last 3 months, we busted out today. Currently spending a week at Morgan riverside c/park. After all yesterday’s protests we prolly be going back into lockdown. Plenty little towns around here to run around and visit. To cold to sit around outside by the toybus. This more betterer.

Same thoughts @BrianK but if no Covid break outs in the next few weeks it might mean the gov got it right.
We await with interest as to the 2 week later results after BLM protests.
Nice to get away from lockdown:).
Beers @ the local actually felt odd:oops: but was nice to catch up with mates over a cold one.
    Cheers

Well - packed the T3 up and headed off to Glen Davis for the weekend with Lea, Stan and Beerboy and his family.

Camped at Dally’s Campground and normally a very quiet site.
Had to be 200 campers there on the weekend.
Was all good - but not the quick and quiet camp I thought we had. Totally misread the situation.

Every man, dog and 4wd was out.

It was certainly cold - that was frost / ice on the T3 screen
The fire and whisky got a good work out

Menu - brisket stew and damper.
    What else?.................oh................lots of chilli

The drive us should have been under 3 hrs - left at 9:00 and got there after 2:00.

Just had fun exploring Glen Davis / Glen Alice area.

Coming home we decided to head up to Rylstone and had a brilliant pub meal in Denman.
Then came down via Broke and Wollombi
    Unfortunately this pub was closed.

MUCH longer drive home but was a great trip and missed most of the traffic

Photo was strategically taken so it didnt look like 200 campers next door

    * Did have a bit of a run with "74Molly" coming out of Lithgow up the Mudgee Rd / Castlereagh Hwy
    Are they a member here?

*finally* got to take Bennie out for a few nights near Yarra Junction! We need to reorganise and figure out where to keep stuff while we're camping and definitely need to figure out a better sleeping arrangement, me, the wife and the dog simply do not fit in that bed comfortably. Bennie had an awning tent included when we bought him, but halfway through setting up we decided it was just way too big and cumbersome so we gave up. I think getting that sorted would have helped a lot but we might try and find something a bit smaller for our next trip.

Hope you booked in for September while you We were there Brian. ;)
Brilliant spot for a weekend and the owners are great. We've got to do a run down there in the next few weeks to plan out DBTR2020.

@Cam+ no matter what you do, with a dog that size you will never be able to share the bed!!

We gave the awning a good try on the weekend - we have a tin top so ours mounts on the roof racks - I know Oldman has his mounted to his fibreglass poptop. Awnings have become quite affordable and you can add to them - I bought a wall for the front when I got home today - they were on special at Supercheap for $42. You can even get a tent that fits inside the awning, if you would allow your dog to sleep in there.

You can get any brand you want and spend as much as you want but this is just to give you an idea.
