just wondering in anyone has tried this arrangement for sleeping in a T3 (or other 7 seater)

As I have a 7 seater (and want to keep it that way as it gets used a lot) and do a fair bit of camping we usually take a pop up tent.
Have a couple of “one nighters” coming up I was thinking of something else.
As it is a 2 seat middle and when I have my fridge in there it is all at one level.
Pretty sure there is 2m plus from the back of the front seat to the back of the rear seat.
While not heaps of width I’m sure there is enough.
If I had a ply base that went from the front pedestal over the fridge to the rear seat base it could make an acceptable bed.

Never tried that arrangement, have seen the back seat folded down and small platform or extra foam added over the engine bay to raise the height up.

Ive slept in my 7 seater the same way Phil has described a few times when my syncro camper was off the road getting its most recent engine upgrade.

You have to sleep diagonally but its comfortable enough.

Barry, as a temp arrangement for one I did it this way, was comfy.

    Ok - think I’m sorted.

    Just for overnight.
    Snug but comfortable.

Head on the back seat and your shoulders and arms are free

Not ideal - but one night will be fine

Ernie drove the fastest milkcart in the west and he would be very proud of you.
