Can anyone recommend where I can get a pair of GOOD QUALITY external door mirrors? I am sick of the cheap repro crap that rusts in 30 seconds. , happy to pay for decent quality.

VW King at Riverwood (see Moshe the owner) have the quality type ones that seem genuine for about $100 each.

Give them a call. They've just launched a new web site & it's s**t. They may not be OOS. I've got a set but they're new so I don't know longevity:rolleyes:!
    Cheers

I bought a set of chrome ones from BS about a year or so ago & honestly I Should have stuck with the original ones ! " Chrome" was starting to fail after about 3 months & has deteriorated since & my bus isn't out in the elements very often !! Again that was over a year ago so maybe a different manufacturer now ??? Maybe i got a bad set ????

I am thinking of getting the stainless steel ones from vwheritage, the more expensive option. Does anyone have experience with these?

Maybe get an original set rechromed by a company that has proven track record with restoration work.
    Glass can also be resilvered.

Last set I purchased were stainless.
Make sure the threaded bit that goes into the door is long enough! Had to reuse old bits to make usable.

They're all a bit short in thread nowadays esp with washer under. Just made 'reach' with full retraction of lock nut:mad: on my new BS set.
