Used the awning i got from Roy for the first time over easter..lucky as well, seeing as it RAINED FOR FOUR DAYS in Yamba. BUt thats another story. Can anyone tell me if there are any hints on how to fold it up and put back in that bag. Its like it self expands when you unfold it. There must be some knack....anyone!!.

    Folding

    Hi Coffs Kombi

We also have a space maker awning. We found the easiest way to fold them is once they are on the ground, fold them in half, and then fold them in half again. Once this is done roll them into a very tight cylindrical ball , and lay on them to get the remaining air out of them.Starting from one end and working through to the other end working the trapped air out of the tarp. Make sure all the ropes etc are in the centre of the folds. Then do the same again until you get it to a size that will fit into the bag alright. Get someone else to hold the bag for you otherwise it is to hard to do on your own. You must keep the awning nice and tight and together for it to go into the bag OK.

If you put the tarp away wet, ensure you take it out and dry it out as soon as possible otherwise it may get mouldy.

What did you think of the awning?

    Regards Glenn

thanks...thats what we did in the end to the amusement of the rest of the caravan park. Found the awning great. Was very water proof ( well more water proof than the kombi proved to be ) and easy to erect. Found all the flaps on bottom a bit of a pain, a good idea but bit of over kill in the corners. Also still havent worked out the roof condensation sheet, didnt seem to fit anywhere.....but in general..." good"

    awning

The condensation sheet is pretty easy to put up. unfold and Just find the centre of the sheet and the four half circular clips? and attach it to the main centre structural rib pole in the centre of the awning. Once this is done pull one side at a time out and attach the other clips to the side poles. Then do the same on the other side. That's it. Sheet works well.

The only thing we found frustrating more then anything else were the pegs,We have now overcome this with better reinforced pegs no more bending and two hammers. The bottom flaps are probably overkill ,however in a decent downpour these worked really well.
