ok Ive just driven my mates WRX powered 76 camper, now ive decided to take my 74 ratty red PMG panel and put a 3ltr boxer or turbo Rex
    into it,
so much fun taking a SS ute out in a kombi camper..
looking at RJES gear in the UK cause they do drive shafts for the subi gear box to kombi..
has any one used this setup, how hard is the shifter setup to modify from the gearbox to the shifter?
or should i just go for the subi to kombi bell housing and have the box rebuilt to suit to handle the subi ?
it will be a ratty stock looking panel, non lowered at first, merc steelies.... yes its still all red....

Don't know much about Subi conversions but have you had a chat with Todd Triebler right here in Oz? He sells his gear all over the world and knows what he's on about.....

Get on AVD and post in the non-vw conversion section. lot of people on there that have successfully completed their conversions (mostly beetle but the idea is the same).

    hey coasty

i have a rjes bellhousing on my 76 bay ej25. drives nice except I get a bit of clutch shudder taking off from 1st gear and the gearstick is a bit catchy.
apart from that it drives nicely

Anyone know what the rta requirements are for an ej25 swap to a t3 syncro? Do i need an engineers cert?

I would say you would need an engineers certificate in any state in Australia to do a suby conversion.

I'm currently starting a conversion to an ej22, but not real sure on a good spot to put the radiator, been told in the engine bay will work great and is hidden and safe. Any other ideas would be appreciated :)

Yer mate a 1962 stretched the one in photo we have the radiator under trying to see if we need a cowling over with scoop or it will work better with out ? The other question is how is others getting the heat out from around the motor ? Any help is good help & just might save me $$ & time cheers
