13hrs, 41min, and 4 secs to go...... not that I'm counting
Thats to long
See you all in the morning!
Damn it, damn it, damn it!! I'm picking up my new kombi on Wednesday.
Always the bridegroom. Ah well, there's always next year.
Have a blast, all, was really hoping to meet everyone, but I'll have to settle for the KC online.
Happy Klubfest, everyone.
Thanks for an AWESOME little convoy this morning!!! For those of you who saw me zoom past in my yellow bay and shook your heads in disgust, please don't think ill of me, I was simply going up the front to slow people down so the guys at the back could catch up
Unfortunately I only got two pics of our convoy as we came into Klubfest. If any of you have any pics please put them up.
A HUGE thanks to Thomas for organising this little run, it was lovely to meet you and Sam mate. So when are we all doing that again
Who's the blue one with P plates??
I think most of us understood why you where passing. Good convoy and nice to meet new like minded people.
yeah great work for organising the convoy Thomas. And congrats as well to Natwest for reuniting it. wish i had more picks of the convoy but only got a few.
Im guessing thats Thomas?
Have a friend of a friend who lives on Nth Side Bris.. Morayfield. name of Pat. Not him huh??
Yes great to meet you all today, and thanks Natwest for slowing everyone down. Its so great to travel in convoy, and to see all the smiling faces! Sorry I had my hands full, so couldnt take any pics of the convoy! Next time!
I have put some pics of the convoy on the pics thread
Yes, the blue lowlight is me
I'm glad it worked out well.
I counted at least 15 cars in the convoy... but didn't get an exact number (it proves difficult when you are driving).
It was great to meet everyone, and certainly I look forward to doing it again!
Oh, and its amazing how slow traffic lights are.
We sat on 70 for ages, waiting for the rest of the convoy to catch up, and it took a fair while.
Thank god Nathan came along!
Here's my only convoy photo...
I agree, it was fantastic!!!! Its great when you go to these things and meet people from all over the place who share with you a common interest, but what is just as awesome is meeting people who live close by who also share that same interest. What I also enjoyed is being able to put names to faces of who I drive past every now and then around Brisbane and throw out the ol' Kombi wave to, (Steve, Kirk, Sam).
I vote for when it gets a little warmer we do something local again!!!!!
Thankyou all again, can't wait till next time
It's good to hear that those of you who convoyed down yesterday for the main show had a good time. There really is nothing like convoying to an event to get you even more excited about it than had you travelled there by yourself. As you've all said too, you get to put faces to names of those that you probably regularly speak to on forums such as this one.
Congratulations on a well organised convoy.
Just quitely, I overheard whispers that there might be an upcoming event planned at Clontarf beach, not too disimilar to the one we had in January. Keep your eye out in the QLD upcoming section...
(this now means that Kyra and Judy have to put their money where there mouths are! )
OK Jules - you're on. Judy was talking about a dinner one night because she has some time between wedding pick up and drop offs, but I'd be happy to organise another Sunday get together. Clontarf was a great spot, so we'll do it again soon.
As Jules says, watch out for it in the Upcoming Events section.
A Clontarf event would be great.
There are so many kombis here on the peninsula.
wow this makes my bus actully look good
Separate names with a comma.
