Well as the Kevin Costiner movie quote from Field of Dreams says ".......... Build it and they will come .........."

Great day, great people and a fantastic time had by all. Many laughs and good times today.

Had a casual little cruise on the Sunday today with over 30 vehicles coming to Caloundra to participate.

Currently uploading a few pics of the day and will add over the next few hours.

Well done Ian for having the idea to have the cruise and all the people who could make it.

Big effort from Al /Das Dubber and family for coming up from the Gold Coast to support a fun family day. Hope the little one is feeling a little better.

But thanks to all of those who made the day happen by particpating. It was a day for the Volks enthusiast to show the love for these qaint VW's that somehowhave worked their way into our lives seem. The day could not have been successful without all of you supporting it. Includes all those who wanted to come but apologised (unnecessarily) for not being able to make it.

Already talk amongst a few of you in organising another one in a month or so .......... and why not if that's what you want.

"Bring it on!" ......... ............ not quite as good a quote but apt ............ ha ha ....

West Country Mafia, I like it, thinking about it there was a good few of West Country folk today, what with Ian Syreeta and Fam in the Notch, they're from Baff ( Bath if your posh )
My brother in arms Jon, Cornishman and proud of it, the wonderfull Mr & Mrs Cornish who make us feel so homesick with their wonderful accent.....and us Bristolians !

Ponder away all you like about that Karmann Brett. That is just GORGEOUS. I think I'm in love. :)

I'm glad you all had a good day, but I'd love to hear more about the 5 car prang. I hope no Kombis were hurt?

Thankfully no Kombis were hurt during the making of the cruise, Kyra.

The five cars were travelling in the other direction on Nicklin while we were heading up through Kawana... seems they weren't necessarily paying as much attention to the stop-start traffic as they were the Kombis... :umm:

Be sure to wash and polish your roof, or at least make sure it looks as good as the rest of your bus, if Brett is around taking awesome pics!
