Here is the surfing only thread.

Stories, locations, factual or made up, post them here.

All true stories must be backed up with photo evidence too :p

    Keep them clean please...

I have noticed there is a 6-8 ft swell coming through in the next day or so.

Where is everyones favourite spots (preferably longboarders)?

    I havent done any big trips yet but my favourite in no particular order are;

    1) Seven Mile Beach, Gerroa NSW
    2) Noosa, QLD
    3) Point Plomer, NSW
    4) Crescent Head, NSW
    5) The Pass, Byron, NSW
    6) Lennox Head, NSW

I'm only a couple of years into surfing regularly and am hoping to get to a few more interstate spots and Indo one day

Green Island is a point break on the northern end of Lake Conjola, I have been surfing it for 20 years now...

As for The Wedge, its a secret spot that I am not at liberty to disclose. Put it this way, only a select few know the location.

    Sensational.

Maybe people can post their interest here and I can contact the caravan park to get a few sites?

LOL  Secret , ?,...only if you've never spent time on the Northern Beaches !! On any given weekend it can be one of the most densely populated, most sought after break on this stretch of coastline !! I'm sure you posted in jest :)
Me, I paddle during the week & can quite often find an uncrowded beachy or reef break without too much hassle.
I ran our local boardriders for 8 years & still get frustrated on the weekends.:wtf:
Like a good bus..........good waves are out there if you are prepared to be patient & look.
    Cheers, Mark

Thanksyou so much for that flash back Jon! its been a long time since I surfed there!
Wonder which wedge you are talking about I know of lots of them all around the country.
I notcied there are a lot of longboarders on here so will be interesting to see if anyone puts guilotines as their pic
I tried to longboard over chrissy but even though i only get a surf every two years or so these days I could not cope with the lack of manovreability, maybe I am just to week?
Wish I could go for an early tommorrow, it's only a 2 day drive to the nearest surf beach:cry:

If the swell squares up a bit, Moonee back beach will give all goofies a little taste of West Oz without having to travel too far. Assuming you're on the East Coast, of course. Gotta get the tide right, though.
