    Hi all,
During lockdown, the challenge is to find a project to fight the boredom so I decided to clean my engine bay.
After finishing the procedure, I noticed that a 3-pin connector with a white wire near the alternator was disconnected.
I could start the engine with no problems.
    My engine is 1.9CC petrol.

I tried to find a place to reconnect this, but I couldn't find anything. So I am wondering what is this connector for? (Pictures attached)

That alternator looks like it is on a strange angle.

    Is the engine code DG?

Yup, this is it; the plug in for the dealer diagnostic system. No idea what that's for really, but I can just put some tape around to protect from the dirt and that's it.

T3 connector Page 97.55 Current Track 4-5. (Bentley Manual)

    Timing/RPM sensor.

T3 connector Page 30 Current Track 5-6. (VAG Manual)

    G7 TDC Sender

It's probably never been used and will probably never be used.

How many manuals are there around the Vanagon/T3/T25? It's amazing how creative they were!
    Thanks Syncro :0

I also found extra manuals on https://vwt25.blog/files/
