Welcome to the best bit of Australia, Brian. Heading into the best time of year for the weather too. This week may not be the best example though!

Maybe we will see you out there. We are currently down in Tassie in the Sprinter van and not returning for a few weeks yet.

    Tassie in a kombi ?
The best trip I've done yet.... and we'll be going back !
The whole island is just made to be seen by kombi....so many fantastic, out of the way campsites next to trout filled streams n rivers.....pristine beaches...unbelievable mountain National parks etc.
Yes, there are cities too....but we managed to minimize our time in them ;)
Made for folks that love fires & don't squeal when it gets cold.
    Can't wait to go back.
    Cheers,
    Mark

Agree. I have done three previous trips in either my '82 Camper or the '89 Syncro. Each time was for a couple of months and still I think there is still more to see and do. Maybe it is just that I am a slow Queenslander by birth. It has been great and I expect that we will be back again after this trip.

On our list to revisit. Lots to see and do!

At check in spotted a little kombi on counter and when went for shower a pic on wall of kombi. Just asked the boss who kombi nut was, it’s his missus. Go for a shower, carpet runner on the floor near wash sinks. A basket of clean mats to put on floor when drying ones self. Rubber mat in the shower, fully close the shower of with curtain thingy, not a drop of water on floor or clothes when getting dressed. Best I’ve ever been in. I told Cathy I want to live here.

    Well, maybe Zeehan

Averages about 250 rainy days a year

Strahan has really come a long way.
The funicular steam train is a blast

Going back down for some AFL in Launceston in July :)

Yep the boss man here says 69 days of sunshine per year, the rest raining. We stayed in Strahan about 8 years ago for a week, so just went through there this time. Looking at staying at Hamilton in couple days or so, little bit worried now as someone said they saw tiger snake there today, I run over a bloody black snake yesterday. No likey.
