Could be interested in that Bretti stop just for a few days. Old stomping ground of mine. Great place. Intersection of the Barnard & Little Manning rivers.
It can get a bit wet occasionally
Barnard on the left, Little Manning on the right. From the corner of reserve it's the Manning River into Taree.
Overflow closest to you joining rivers around the back of reserve only happens in flood...it's not normally there. We were camped on the little island above the left hand green toilet. Discretion being the better part of valour we decamped. March 2001
Be great to catch you or any kombi clubers at the Wiz bangers gathering at Bretti Reserve 15 to 22 March.
i am not a big fan of camping it the wet...but it happens sometimes.
As i see it ,only 94 days and 23 hrs to go before im on the road again all being well will cu u all in Stanthorpe.
A few of us from the Central Coast/Newcastle are leaving Morisset around 9am Thursday morning, doing a pick up at Beresfield (end of M1) with an overnighter at Kootingal. Arriving Stanthorpe Friday arvo. Anyone who would like to dak along with us more than welcome. Will post details in a thread in the New Year. Woohoo not long now Bus Stop, do the Bus Stop!! so excited

Woohoo. Here we come Leo.
I must have been Stanthorpe dreaming 41 years ago....
Here is my first kombi (69 Microbus home converted to camper) on the Stanthorpe Bypass (Highway 15) on 26 February 1977.
It was day one of a 5 week trip that took my friend & I from Brisbane to Adelaide and back. Highway experts would quickly tell me "hey your kombi is pointed north, not south" Yes - I did the U turn for a better photo, and u-turned again to the south.....
Bring on the komvoys to the Bus Stop
Hi Weekender ,photos like this are pure gold, when you look at these photos its like your living the dream all over again. This is what the bus stop does for me . Living in Adelaide then cruising to where ever to the B/Stops are gives me the opportunity to see things and places i would not have worried about going to before.
Love the post and what it represents.
Pining for younger days Leo ?
We are all forever young in our Kombis!
What a fantastic photo. I wonder if you can find the same location and take a photo again this Easter.
Weekender, yep ,so true mate ,so true.................
T'was a nice polite Kombi with those 'PLZ' number plates.
