V8 single cab low light

    Looking at a couple of old buses in a car graveyard today and came across a single cab low light ute with a whopping V8 mounted under the tray with a big dif and a radiator in the old engine bay - CrRaZY!!

    don't know mate. His standard answer for all vehicles was 600 - 500 cash, but i reckon you could heggle.

    $500-600 is a good price for a V8 powered lowlite.

    That's definately a bargain....the adapter kit to connect the motor to the box costs that much....

    Hi Damien e, if this kombi is in Adelaide any chance of getting a look at it. Its been a fantasy of mine for the last 20 years to mid mount a V8 in a zombi. Yeah I know you purists are shuddering.

    Sure mate. Its in Strathalbyn (not quite Adelaide) in a yard opposite the dump. You might have to be quick - seems like a popular idea. I'll try and get some pics but could take a few days. Cheers.

    I stand corrected...by myself. There is no adapter plate in there...and judging by the dizzy it's a Chev. Imagine that thing with a Powerglide 2 speed auto and a trusty Ford nine inch diff...the thing would handle well too! I'd like to see the job from underneath as I imagine a fair bit of cutting has taken place.
